Why do people fear CAT verbal section?
How we can help?
Who we are?
  • IS-WAS is a membership based closed group that was formed with the objective of helping all the CAT aspirants across the country.
  • Our group consists of a bunch of geeks who have a passion towards English and have the ability to help any CAT aspirant master the verbal skills and get through the exam without any difficulty.
  • We do not promote our group and we only accept new members through word of mouth and via references.
Why do people fear CAT verbal section?
  • The objective of the CAT exam is to test your ability to relate and comprehend the ideas that are mentioned in the paragraph.
  • If you don’t have the habit of reading, you will find it difficult to meet the expectations of this exam. As you already know, reading is a somewhat boring process and you will need to have a lot of motivation to make it a habit.
How we can help?
  • We encourage all our group members to read as much as they can and provide an ideal platform for our members to make reading a habit.
  • We don’t expect a lot of commitment from our members. They just need to spend couple of hours per day to read what we advise.
  • Every morning we provide a set of news editorials to all our group members. In evening all our group members are tested on these editorials through an online quiz which consist of critical reasoning, paragraph completion, paragraph jumbles and reading comprehension questions.
  • Summary for every article will be provided so that you can understand what the article is comprised of and cross check if you comprehended it in the right way.
  • Following this simple approach help create the lacking motivation factor among students and they will not have to worry about the CAT verbal exam.

Why Us?

  • We’ll aid you in developing a reading habit, improving your knowledge base, reading accuracy and speed in no time.
  • Our quiz and tests are designed to help you master the art of reading and comprehending paragraphs.
  • We summarize the entire editorial for your better understanding.
  • Regular reading will also help you in preparing for Group Discussions and interviews.
  • You will have the stamina to keep going. Instead of getting sapped by RC, you come out of it with energy and the momentum to demolish the Verbal Section.
  • Regular reading with us will give you an eye for detail, and because you haven’t relied on some gimmick like speed reading, question that appear ambiguous and unsolvable to other candidates will have clear solutions in your mind. Moreover, You will not be intimidated by any passage. So what if it’s on economics or politics – you’ve read articles on these topics before , and you will not be  scared to tackle such ideas in exam.

Our Philosophy

The Common Admission Test, which is also known as CAT is one of the most prominent aptitude exams faced by students in India. Unfortunately, most of them find it hard to score well in the CAT verbal exam.

Therefore, we thought of analyzing the difficulties faced by students in CAT verbal section and helping them to overcome those difficulties. As per our analysis, when you read a series of sentences in a paragraph, you might not have a clear idea on what it really meant. This happens because of two main reasons:

  • Firstly, the bunch of sentences you read is about a specific topic like metaphysics and it is equipped with a lot of fancy words.
  • Secondly, you get tired while reading. That’s because reading takes up a lot of energy and you don’t have the habit of reading.

During the past few years, the length of the passages in CAT exam has increased and now you have to read longer passages. If you are not a habitual reader, you will find it hard to read long passages. For example, an athlete who runs 100m race practices for hours and travels thousands of meters before they come for the race. It helps them to build stamina and prepare well for the main event. The same can be applied for reading as well. You need to read, read and read before you go to face the CAT verbal exam.

The CAT Verbal Section is all about testing reading ability whether it is a para-jumble,critical reasoning or a reading comprehension question. Simply put, it is the measure of how well a candidate can relate to the ideas presented in the paragraph. That’s all. It doesn’t test how fast you finished reading the passage. It doesn’t test how deep your vocabulary is. It just wants to test whether you understood all the ideas in the passage or paragraph.

Our approach towards making you get through the CAT verbal exam is a simple one. We encourage you to read a lot. You just need to read the English newspapers on a daily basis with us and you will be preparing yourself to face the verbal exam. There isn’t a structured syllabus for the CAT verbal exam, so some students find it difficult to figure out what they should go through. All the students who are getting ready for the CAT verbal exam should focus more on reading and you don’t need to worry about anything else.

The approach that we follow is associated with a variety of benefits. It can prepare you well for any given topic and you will not get scared when you get the passage. In addition, the practice you get from reading can provide enough stamina for you to read during the exam. Last but not least, you will get the opportunity to experience the benefits of speed reading. Therefore, any candidate can follow our approach without a doubt in mind.

The articles are very good. The content of the articles is up to the mark. But a bit disappointed with the no of questions provided based on the article. Questions are qualitative. But if u increase the no of questions based on those article it will be better. The solution to each question should be more detailed. Overall experience was very good. There are some areas u need to improve.
